I would like a virtual second opinion? How do I start??


You can start by making the payment for the second opinion on our website. After that, we will contact you with with next step.


What's the cost of the investment to have a second opinion??

The investment for the second opinion is $1997. This fee includes information collection/review, video or phone consultation, time with a second opinion holistic specialist, and guidance throughout the process of the second opinion

Does my insurance cover this second opinion?

No. We do not bill insurance. You are responsible for the cost of the program and Payment is expected at the time of service.

Rheumawell cannot file a claim with your insurance carrier, nor can we provide a procedure (CPT) code for this service.

The reason is that the insurance model does not recognize this type of health care yet. The current medical system under the coverage of health insurance is based on a model of ‘Diagnose and Treat’ where the treatments typically consist of a pharmaceutical to cover the symptom or surgery. The integrative functional holistic model of health care does not diagnose and does not treat. As a result, our model does not fall under insurance coverage.

Do you treat and diagnose conditions?

No. We do not treat or diagnose specific conditions. Diagnosing and treating conditions is what the current medical model does. The integrative functional holistic medical model, practiced at Rheumawell does not treat or diagnose specific conditions, instead, we look for root causes and metabolic disorders therein causing your symptoms so that we can understand how to best address the hidden stressors and support you optimally.

How quickly can be seen for second opinion?

We aim to schedule you as quickly as possible usually between 2-7 days. So the quicker you send your information, the quicker for us to see you.


What information do you need from me before our call?

We will send you a short questionnaire to complete and return. We DO NOT NEED your complete medical record for this service.

How many questions can I ask the expert during our call?

You may ask a maximum of 5-6 questions. This is to ensure that each question has enough time devoted to it. All questions must be submitted and finalized before the virtual meeting. Please select your questions wisely, so you can get a lot out of the call.

What do I expect after my call?

You will receive a summary of the second opinion. Thereafter, we will follow up with you to answer any general health questions that you may have after reading the summary.

What do I do if I have follow-up questions after reviewing the summary?

If you have new questions that the specialist can't answer, then you will have to schedule another call for an additional fee. So select your questions wisely

Is my payment secure?

Rheumawell is strongly committed to protecting the privacy and security of our clients. All our financial transactions are processed securely using industry-standard payment processing tools.

Is this a medical clinic?

No. This is a mentoring/coaching and educational platform NOT a medical clinic.

Can I schedule a follow-up with you if I choose??

Yes, you can. We'll be happy to support you long-term. The second opinion summary will contain suggested options.

Do you have in-office appointment?

No. All our appointments are virtual or online

Late Appointments

Please let us know if you are running late for your virtual appointment so that we can accommodate others who need to be seen.

CANCELLATION

Please be courteous, and provide 48 hours’ notice for all canceled appointments. This helps us to make sure that we can meet the needs of all of our clients who are waiting to get an appointment. There will be a 20% cancellation fee for clients who are no-shows and who give less than 48-hour cancellations.

Can you prescribe medications?

No. Pharmaceutical prescriptions or medications require an in-office evaluation/consultation and establishing medical care with a physician.

How long does it take for somebody to reply my email??


We aim to respond in one working day Monday through Thursday

Do you offer payment plan?

No, we do not offer payment plans for a virtual holistic specialist second opinion.
